Featured Article Of The Month From Our Website

This month we have an article on a niche audience, or at least what we may have believed to be a niche audience for PPC - seniors - with some surprising research results that you need to be aware of.

If you want to find out if you should target your PPC ad campaigns at a certain demographic group, you might be surprised by the findings in Neal Lebar's report which we are featuring this month. Using research from the extremely well-respected Jupiter Research team, the author points out something that might surprise you about the role seniors are, and will be, playing in the next little while in online activities and how this may affect PPC marketing techniques.

Read this interesting article here.

Hint Of The Month

Never forget that "the keyword is king" in a PPC ad campaign. After all, that's what the various bids are all centered on - how much you are willing to pay to have a certain keyword or words search bring up your PPC ad on a PPC search engine in the position you want it to be in on the paid listings.

Equally important, though, is not to forget that although some keywords are very expensive, minor variations which really will not affect traffic, can be found with diligence (and perhaps the assistance of a keyword tool), for much less money while still providing a reasonable ROI. It's all a matter of timing, thought, and planning, just as any ad campaign is. For the most part, you get what you put into it - if you are not willing to spend some personal time managing your keywords and trying to outsmart your competitors for keywords by considering and experimenting with "negative" keywords such as misspelled words, old-fashioned terms no longer used, slang, etc., then you will not be as successful as those who do, not matter how much you might be prepared to spend on the ad campaign. Time is still money, but time is extremely important to make sure your keywords are indeed among those of the "kings".
