The big news is of course the announcement of the merger of Yahoo and Microsoft insofar as their search platforms are concerned. As more details emerge, it will be easier to predict how this will affect PPC advertisers, but with adCenter becoming the vehicle for ongoing PPC activities, Google is going to have a run for its money. Danny Sullivan of SearchEngineLand has written a great post outlining the basics of the deal that is an excellent recap of what exactly the merger entails.
