Extremely easy to use, PPC Localizer is a fairly simple piece of software. It is designed to be a time-saver for those who are looking for an easy way to add geographic locations to their keyword phrases and who do not wish to spend time looking up information on all cities in a given state or international location. PPC Localizer has a database that includes all the cities in each state in the US and also 212 foreign countries. Simply enter your keyword(s) into the box, choose whether you wish the location before or after the keyword(s), check which states or countries you wish to include, if you wish to include state names or state abbreviations, and then “update list” to generate the keywords. After the list has been generated, you have options of removing adult words from the list, changing it to upper or lower case, adding quote marks and the like (for AdWords). You can also export the list (in smaller chunks if there are more than 2000 keywords) and sort it in alpha order. If you are working with a very large number of keywords and/or asking PPC Localizer to add local targeting for a large number of countries or states, you may have to approach the task in segments, as the program takes a large amount of memory to put together the lists. If the lists take too long to generate or your computer hangs in the middle of the task, try breaking it down into a few sub-lists. Although not exactly brain surgery, PPC Localizer can help change a tedious task into a quick and easy procedure. If you do business outside of your local city, whether it is throughout the state or to another country altogether, PPC Localizer is a straightforward solution to the task of generating keywords for all options. Certainly some of the features of the software could be accomplished in a text editor or word processing program, but it is nice to have formatting options offered in addition to localization before exporting the list. In short, PPC Localizer is a simple tool that accomplishes a simple task in a very straightforward manner. It can save you time and effort and although it may not be as sophisticated as some other keyword generating tools, it’s an easy way to get a basic keyword list that has already been targeted for local markets. At $67, the software may be a little expensive unless you do a lot of targeting of local markets throughout the US and/or internationally.
